Airport Information

The majority of our international clients enter Brazil through one of the following international airports: Rio de Janeiro (GIG), São Paulo (GRU) or Salvador da Bahia (SSA).

From Ilhéus Airport

From there, they take domestic flights to Ilhéus, Bahia (IOS), which is the airport closest to Itacaré (about 70 km south of Itacaré).

The Ilhéus airport has various daily flights from all the major Brazilian cities. Currently, the airlines that fly to Ilhéus are: Latam , Gol  e Azul. 

You can hire our transfer service between the Ilhéus airport and Itacaré. This is a private service, and is available any time day or night.

From Salvador Airport

The best and faster way is to get a domestic flight to ILHEUS (IOS) which is the nearest airport. Ilhéus is about 75 km (43 miles) south from Itacaré. Check flight schedules and availability at  LATAM, GOL, Azul. From Ilhéus to Itacaré, we offer an individual taxi airport shuttle that can be scheduled at any day – or night time.

The other option is to go by Bus to Itacaré. From Salvador airport you should go to downtown Salvador (cidade baixa) to take a ferry boat, crossing Bahia de Todos os Santos to Bom Despacho on Ilha de Itaparica (about 30 minutes on the ferry). From Bom Despacho get a bus from the company Águia Branca or Cidade Sol. The bus trip from Bom Despacho to Itacaré takes about 5 hours and costs R$ 64.00. TIP: If possible, prefer “EXECUTIVO” than “CONVENCIONAL” category. The “EXECUTIVO” makes less stops.
